Benefits Of Effective Record Keeping For A Home-based Education

Regardless of the legal requirements of the state in which you live, there are many benefits to keeping effective records of your homeschooling activities. Firstly, and perhaps most obviously, you can always answer anyone who asks what class schedule or coursework your child has completed. The questioner may include a collegiate institution asking because your child is a non-traditional student and has applied to their institution.

Some states do not require any documentation at all, but laws may change, and your child may one day choose to enter into further education interstate or even internationally. If you have no records of your childs education, this could be needlessly stressful. If you are providing a full and rich education for your children, it is a wise choice to ensure that record-keeping is included as part of the mix. Some guidelines:

State/Provincial Audits
While this is not true for every state or every situation, some states in their laws regarding homeschooling allow the state education agencies to audit homeschoolers. This is to ensure that homeschoolers are teaching their children and not just keeping them at home. It is best to look at your local state/province to see their specific requirements

The answer to the question Do you have a high school diploma? varies, and may be asked by potential employers. There are several ways to deal with the high school diploma situation, including the following suggestions:

1.Depending on where you live, you may be able to sign and issue one to your graduating children.

2.Private schools may issue your graduating child with a high school diploma if you provide them with the appropriate records and materials.

3.Your child can take the GED, or your countrys equivalent, and have that certification as their testament to their secondary education.

Ok, so now we know why we keep records, how exactly do we do this? My suggestions are as follows:

Document everything every day. If you dont let it pile it up it doesnt become overwhelming. This way you will also always know where you stand if there are any requirements you have to consider or prove (hours in school, etc) to your local authority, potential employer, or the provider of further education.
Compile a scrapbook and keep records of important events because, even though youre not doing it through a school, your activities are still important in the life of your child! This helps you and your child create a record they can look back on with pride.
Keep all the assignments and school stuff in notebooks at the end of year. Many parents will file everything away in books to keep a record of assignments, to be able to accurately assess their childs skills in subjects, and to know what they need to work on a year to year basis.

Education Prohibited In Meles Zenawi’s Tyrannical, Fake ‘ethiopia’

We cannot accept anymore the myth that nobody can be worse than Hitler, Stalin, and Pot Pot; the reason we cannot is simple: the worse already exists, and if we do not see it in all its aspects, dimensions and activities, we simply let it expand. Even if an impotent and marginal state like pariah, bogus-Ethiopia, can generate nightmares of incredible extent. If not by itself, by the justified reactions it can provoke to its inhuman practices.

Amhara and Tigray ruled Abyssinia: the realm of ignorance and barbarism

Parochial and iniquitous relic of eras bygone for Europeans and unknown to Americans, Meles Zenawi’s tyranny has more in parallel and common with the Medieval times of Sigeric, Geiseric, Hilderic, and Athalaric than with 19th century despotisms and 20th century dictatorships.

Ruled by quasi-analphabetic monks, whose heretic Christianity had been refuted by Constantinople and Rome, the Amharas and the Tigrays based their society on fear and blind, unquestioned faith. Their hatred of Catholic and Protestant missionaries and European explorers of Gueze, their own old and liturgical language, caused torture and death to many willing to expand Lights and Knowledge in that part of the world.

Literacy was traditionally viewed very suspiciously by the debteras, these heretic and mostly illiterate monks, who read their Scriptures with the utmost difficulty; to cover their ignorance, they order their servants to hide manuscripts and to kill Westerners who attempt to take them for study and publication in Europe and America. In a place like this, ‘public school’ is never an institution truly accepted and irreversibly adopted by the local, anachronistic establishment.

It goes without saying that, with the expansion of the Amhara kingdom at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, the enslaved peoples, the Oromos, the Sidamas, the Afars, and the Ogadenis became the object of unprecedented genocide. The genocide had a definitely cultural educational dimension; they could not let them preserve their national and cultural identity because this would soon create liberation struggles as it did. For a moment, the Abyssinian tyranny decided to export Amhara culture and education to the enslaved peoples. This was Pandora’s box.

With their national languages written in Latin, thank to the educational efforts of European missionaries and academia, the Oromos, the Ogadenis, the Sidamas and the other enslaved peoples learnt to great extent Amharic as a foreign language, and this helped them understand better their invaders, their brutal and barbaric culture, and their totalitarian and anachronistic mentality. As a matter of fact, it became easier to the oppressed peoples of Abyssinia to differentiate themselves from the oppressors.

The problem was ‘solved’ in another way at the times of the pro-Communist Mengistu tyranny; Amharic would become in Abyssinia what Russian was in the Soviet Union. This effort lasted almost two decades, and generated among the oppressed peoples an even stronger feeling of refutation of the oppressors. In today’s Abyssinia, the majority of those who can speak Amharic hate, despise and detest Amharic as language of their oppressors and tyrants. Useless for them, except when in contact with the tyrannical administration, Amharic will become even more insignificant, when the Oromos, the Sidamas, the Afars, and the Ogadenis achieve their independence and statehood. The reason is simple: if for the entire country, the literacy rate is approximately 43%, literacy among Amharas does not exceed 20%.

Today, with Meles Zenawi’s effort to embellish the Abyssinian tyranny and make resemble a democracy, police practices are pursued in most of the provinces trying to turn children originating from the oppressed peoples away from the schools. The totalitarian Zenawi administration realized that the only way for fake ‘Ethiopia’ to survive is to resemble a mortuary; either they butcher of they kick out of the school without pretext. UNESCO and the other international bodies, world academia and NGOs should focus on the following document issued before some days by the Oromo Liberation Front.

A 2007 Mortuary called ‘Ethiopia’

It bears witness to an obscurantism far worse than that of Hitler and Stalin; and this is not an exaggeration or a figure of speech, but the tragic reality of a 2007 Mortuary called ‘Ethiopia’.

Expulsion of Oromo students form schools continued

Since its ascendance to power the Ethiopian minority regime has been bent on campaigns of terror on anything Oromo well across the board. The Roots Of Education Are Bitter, But The Fruit Is Sweet

How was the day of your little wonder when he went to school for the first time in his life? Shedding tears, screaming to go home, gazing at other tots-imitating them or start getting anxious? A euphoric aura envelops around the enthusiastic parents. Whatever it takes, everyone wants their child to be a part of the educated society. But providing education doesn’t include just fetching him admission in a good school. It involves tedious activities, especially when the school starts. Whether your child is going to school for the first time or going back to school from a long summer vacation, he has to be well equipped with the requirements needed at school. Providing kids with best schooling, best requisites and giving him efficient knowledge at home is not cakewalk. The students also take grave pain in completing their primary and high school grades throughout their childhood and tweenhood. However, the result of sincere and competent learning recompenses the efforts and pain taken by the parents and the students in unison.
You may want to give him the best possible stationery products that also suit your pouch simultaneously. Best quality books, pencils, geometry cases, sharpeners, Tiffin boxes, water bottles, school bags and so on. You might consider spacious school bags and high grade water bottles for your child’s lunch requisites.

Often, attention is given mostly to purchasing of notebooks and writing instruments. Pencil boxes, sharpeners and erasers might get the surplus importance. About school bags, you may mull over the outward show, or choose a spacious bag at the most. The features for selecting a school bag that you think are worth a thought may not be enough. Certainly, the very appearance and the size matters when talking about school bags. But when you explore, you will find that a lot of brainwork is implemented to pick out the appropriate choice.

Appearance matters! There’s a variety of contemporary school bags available to pick from. You might find it difficult to choose the right one. Carry your son or daughter with you-because appearance matters. You would surely not want the newly bought school gear lying around at home, unused. If you want to purchase it yourself, you’ll have to be familiar with your kid’s choice-which can be risky. If you bought a bag with the latest cartoon characters embedded and if your son is a sport and sportsmen buff, then it is certainly a waste. Bags for young boys are available in cool colours with cartoon characters or sports’ illustrations. For young girls, bright colours, floral prints and cartoon characters are found on their school bags. But interests can be different with different kids. They might not follow the contemporary trend and want a design or a colour which can be unusual. For example, a girl may show distaste for girly shades like pink and blue. She may want something more smart, boy-like and not typically girly.

Suppliers offer school bags with variety animal motifs, and environ-friendly symbols as well. Many companies manufacture models in association with PET, PU and TPU. School bags are also made with embellishments out of embroidery, beads and metals. Bags attached with stuffed plush toys are certainly alluring for the kids-they can remove the soft toy and play with, during their leisure. However, the look of the schoolbag is not enough to be considered. The other crucial aspects need added attention.

Trading school bags! A utility product, bags and school bags form an important feature of ‘back to school’ shopping in almost every household. The market for manufacturing bags for export is huge in regions like China and Taiwan. In India, the demand for school bags is huge for the locally manufactured ones, moreover due to their low price ranges. There is a niche demand for export brand school bags here in India, restricted to a few, due to their relatively high price ranges. Most of the bag-producing companies in India are adopting synthetic leather, denim and canvas for production purposes. Fabrics to make school bags are mostly sourced from the local textile providers in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and West Bengal. An Indian brand, D.M.Pakitwala, has created an image not only in India but also overseas for its quality and innovative designs.
